Waltham, 24th September 2013; Global Premier Soccer and GPS Milan Boston would like to congratulate ex player Alexa Poulin on being awarded a full scholarship to Southern New Hampshire University.
Alexa started her club soccer career with GPS Milan Boston before moving to Mass Premier Soccer where she began to excel. Alexa’s ability was identified and she was selected for the girls Olympic Development Program.
“Alexa always came with intensity for practice and games,” said GPS Milan Boston Coach Billy Walker. “She worked hard at everything to be the best and it isn’t a surprise that she is finding success at the college level. Both Sid Mazzola and myself are very proud of Alexa’s many accomplishments and happy for her wonderful family too.”
A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Alexa played four years of soccer for Coach Casey Grange in the two-time All-Eastern Mass Selection. She also played in the four-time MVC All-Star and then was named an “All-Star” by Massachusetts newspaper Lowell Sun and also the Eagle Tribune as a senior.
“It has been an incredible journey and we are so thankful to get to watch her play another 4 years as she pursues a great education,” said Alexa’s mom Martha. “To see her continually develop through the club system and now play at the collegiate level is testament to the hard work she has put in over the years.
