Waltham, 29th, September 2014; GPS-Milan recently took the opportunity to provide soccer equipment to children in Ethiopia through a collaboration with  the Wide Horizons for Children (WHFC) humanitarian organization.

GPS-Milan provided the donation through Heather Broglio, mother of GPS-Milan U11 Player Samantha Broglio. Heather is travelling to Ethiopia later this month for a medical mission with WHFC, a great organization working on behalf of orphaned and abandoned children around the world. Heather requested the support of GPS to help as soccer is the most popular sport among the children in Africa.  GPS donated three boxes containing soccer jerseys and soccer balls.

‘We are delighted to support Heather and Wide Horizons for Children in supporting such a worthwhile cause’, said GPS-Milan Director Billy Walker.  ‘’We wish her every success with the undertaking and we are sure the soccer jerseys and balls will be very popular amongst the local children’

In Ethiopia, WHFC has child sponsorship programs in Tigray, Sidama, Mekelle, Kembatta and Addis Ababa to provide hope for many hundreds – and potentially thousands – of children and their families. To find out more please visit their website Wide Horizons for Children https://www.whfc.org
